Pristine Car

1. Don't let the dealer wash your car!

Unfortunately, in most cases, cars are washed using improper methods, causing scratches on the paint surface. This can all be prevented, including by using the methods we apply during our Maintenance Cleanings.

Cars often stand outdoors or are transported on an open trailer, so they get dirty. There are many types of dirt, but the most common are dust and organic and inorganic residues. A prime example of the latter is metal particles in the air, which, when in contact with water on a white car, form small brown rust spots. These cannot be removed with a simple wash, which is why many suggest polishing, but this only causes further damage.

2. Don't let them polish or wax your car!

It may be offered to fix the defects, but chances are they will only cause more damage! We have had many new cars come to us that were "restored" by the dealer, but the result was worse. This is due to improper pre-corrosion preparation (see the first point).

3. Don't let them deal with the protective film residues either!

If possible, leave the protective films in place. If they have already been removed, the adhesive residue can be cleaned with the proper solvent—no need for scrubbing. If someone tries to remove it with the wrong chemical, it can be very difficult to get rid of, often resulting in scratches on the paint surface.

4. Don't let them drill the license plate!

It's an odd look and there are simpler, less damaging methods!

5. Apply ceramic coating to the paint as soon as possible!

The new paint surface looks beautiful. It has no scratches, etching, or other unwanted damage. Do you want to preserve this for as long as possible?

What can be prevented with ceramic treatment:

  • Acid etching marks (acid rain, cheap wheel cleaners)

  • Small wash scratches (easier cleaning)

  • Tree sap residues don’t stick to the paint surface

  • Bird droppings and insect remains won’t immediately damage the surface

  • Matting caused by alkaline cleaners

  • Exhausting washing tasks. From now on, washing the car will be enjoyable.

6. Ask them not to refill the windshield washer reservoir!

They may use a concentrate that can easily damage the plastic/rubber/glossy trim around the windows. Therefore, we recommend refilling the washer fluid yourself according to the season or contacting a professional. In general, more care is needed with the summer fluid, as it may contain bug-repellent additives, which are essentially strong alkali and can cause damage if not diluted properly.

New Car

Of course, there may be situations when the advice mentioned in the previous points can no longer be implemented. In these cases, it is still important to ensure that the car is cleaned only with a coin-operated soft water high-pressure washer.

Avoid using the brush head at such places, as it is used by others, and the dirt or even the material of the brush itself can cause serious damage to the paint.

If the front of the car becomes covered in bugs, wash it as soon as possible and, if necessary, use a high-quality bug remover. These bug removers only loosen the proteins, so they won’t damage plastics like their lower-quality counterparts.

Used Car

In this case, it is still important to follow the above guidelines, although there will be several that should not be addressed before the treatment. We still recommend that you avoid taking your car to a machine or silicone scraper/suede hand car wash. Instead, take it to a place that uses microfiber towels and multiple buckets, which are washed before each wash!

The use of a coin-operated soft water high-pressure washer is also recommended here, although it will remove much less dirt. The reason is that the dirt embedded in the surface (which doesn’t come off with a regular wash) significantly increases the likelihood of further contaminants sticking. The solution for this is a chemical and clay bar deep cleaning of the paint.
